Ricardo darín and érica rivas give us acting advice

A I don’t know, in my case I prefer the unavoidable truth. A lie, even a pious lie, is always a lie. I think you are taking me to a philosophical terrain that I refuse to enter because I am not a philosopher at all.
R Bergman when he wrote this play, versioning the film, did it for his wife. It is known that he told her ‘I’m going to modify some things because this drama cannot be endured by the spectator in the theater’.
R I read Eduardo Saccheri’s novel a long time ago and I liked it. Then I met Eduardo, we exchanged opinions and it happened. As you will see, it has nothing to do with the current situation of the country. It is about the 2001 crisis.

Scenes of marital life – teatre tívoli

Darín (Buenos Aires, 1957) will begin his new tour with Ingmar Bergman’s play on September 18 at the Teatros del Canal in Madrid; it will continue -from 25 to 29- at the Teatro Olympia in Valencia; he will return to Madrid -October 2 to 20-; it will then open at the Palacio de Congresos in Zaragoza -October 24 to 26- and at the Auditorium in Palma de Mallorca -November 1 to 3-.
He laughs at the long life of the work but, he half apologizes again, «the reception has been and is so good, selling out everywhere…. That not only excites, it enables the possibility of repeating and being in other places».
The text, directed by Norma Aleandro, is a theatrical version signed by Bergman himself of the film he shot in 1973 and, contrary to what happens in the film, the play shows the couple throughout their lives with comedy dynamics.
He always had the feeling that when Bergman rewrote this play to put it on stage he was considering a theater workshop exercise, «that’s why he proposes that the actors list the scenes with irony before getting into them. That is what allows the actors to get in and out of that game».

Ricardo darín and érica rivas – escenas de la vida conyugal (scenes from married life)

In Escenas de la vida conyugal, Juan and Marina recount moments of their life while they were married and also of their relationship after the divorce. They engage in an actor-character game with which they manage to make the spectators accomplices, who see themselves reflected in many of the funny, dramatic and even violent situations. «The world of relationships between men and women is of enormous complexity, knowing how to give the other what he or she needs. Whoever has gone through a divorce, knows that it is one of the most tremendous things in our society, not only affectively, but also economically and socially. To take it with irony, as this montage does, is one of the most serious ways to do it. Tragedy in the form of comedy,» said Boadella.
Escenas de la vida conyugal can be seen from October 1 to 18 in Barcelona, from October 21 to November 15 at the Sala Roja of the Teatros del Canal in Madrid, and from November 18 to December 6 at the Olympia theater in Valencia.
